Refugee Festival Scotland takes place every year in the lead-up to World Refugee Day, on 20 June. Each event helps to shine a light on the cultural richness and diversity of our communities. It is a celebration of the food and drinks, music and poetry, art, dance, language, and ideas that people bring with them when they settle in Scotland.
SOMRA was represented by holding an individually organised event by ELREC, included in the festival program, titled “Hand-made Stories”. The focus of the event was promoting a green lifestyle and green entrepreneurship to refugees and migrants while raising awareness of our project and its intellectual outputs. Representatives from all partner organisations participated in the event and helped create a multiplier effect for the project results.
