The SOMRA Green Entrepreneurship Training aims to foster environmental competences as well as green entrepreneurship and civic competences of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
The training focuses on how current and local/regional environmental issues can be identified and solved in an innovative and cost-effective way as well as necessary skills for successful green entrepreneurship in NGOs. The training also aspires to foster relevant competences of the target group with the aim to enhance their employability potential as they gain localised experiences that can be transferred and validated in a broad manner.
The SOMRA Training is a blended-learning training, combining face-to-face lessons and online self-directed learning activities.
The training includes:
- Guidelines for trainers on how to deliver the training and steer the self-directed learning phases (e.g. adult educators, migrant support workers)
- A curriculum of a blended-learning course, including ECVET learning outcomes, lesson plans for F2F parts and activity instructions and descriptions for self-directed online learning
The curriculum is consisted of:
- 2 main modules, supported by several sub-units: Green lifestyle and environmental challenges & founding, maintaining and participating in a NGO and grassroots activities.
- 1 additional module focusing on digital literacy and learning to learn activities. This is aimed specifically at participants with fewer opportunities who lack these competences when starting the SOMRA Training.
- 20 subunits which are designed as tiny learning bits of approximately 1,5 hours each, containing online and offline learning content.
